Pensacola, NC Community
Hurricane Helene hit the mountain community of Pensacola, North Carolina, with devastating force. Days of heavy rain caused catastrophic flooding, landslides, and made Pensacola Road—the town’s only access route—impassable. Residents were left isolated, and the Pensacola Volunteer Fire Department faced difficult conditions to deliver aid. Many homes were damaged or destroyed, leaving the community reeling in the aftermath.

We assisted the Pensacola Fire Department in securing Conex boxes to store donated food, water, supplies, and essential equipment. These supplies were distributed to the surrounding community and were also delivered to Camp Miller, which became a central relief and staging area in Pensacola, NC.

Camp Miller
In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Camp Miller served as both a distribution hub and a temporary shelter—where many displaced residents were living in tents while awaiting more permanent housing and assistance.
