PRAYERS OF GRATITUDE  - Lord thank you for the privilege and honor of walking alongside families who lost everything during Hurricane Helene. Thank you for all the good that happened this week! In Your name we pray, Amen.


GRACE BY EXAMPLE URGENT PRAYER/NEEDS LIST

  1. Prayers and Volunteers needed as we walk with families through transformational relationships that demonstrate the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.

  2. Continued prayers for all families impacted by Hurricane Helene and other natural disasters.

  3. Prayers for a particular family that has been in a camper for two years.  Sewage backed up in the camper last (winter) year.  They have gotten good news that their mobile home will be replaced by Samaritans Purse with a new one but it will not arrive until early to late spring, (it has to be built off site) so they are potentially / probably going to have to go through another winter in a camper.

    1. Prayers for donations for 30 plus bails of straw /hay placed in black trash bags to put around the camper to winterize it for the winter.  Cost $325.00  Also looking for volunteers to help place these bails of hay around the camper on Thursday, 10/29/26 (One day trip to work on different small projects)

    2. Prayers for donations to come in to pay for their propane tank bill each month.  It is what they heat the camper with and cook meals with. They use two tanks a week at $22 per tank = $44 dollars a week.  Their monthly bill will be about $200 to $220 per month x 7 months (October thru May) = $1500 to $1800.

    3. Prayers for volunteers to help patch their roof of the camper.  They have had leaks and a limb fell and punched a hole in the roof of the camper in the last two weeks.  Will patch the roof on Thursday, 10/29/26 (One day trip to work on different small projects)

    4. Pray that the family may get temporary housing in the area they live in to get out of the camper for the winter.

    5. Prayers that their mobile home which is being built will arrive early.

    6. Prayers for lumber and volunteers to build a new deck to replace the old deck that was torn down when their destroyed mobile home was removed.  The deck will be built once they receive the new mobile home.  Cost will be in the $4000.00 range and volunteers to build it will be recruited.

  4.  Prayers for a family who needs two-bedroom suites. (Think one may be donated but need a bed.  The beds will need to be regular size.  Queen and king size beds will be too big for the bedrooms.

  5. Prayers for volunteers to move items from a family’s old destroyed homeplace to their new homeplace.  Date:  Thursday, 10/29/26 (One day trip to work on different small projects)

  6. Prayers for a second family who needs volunteers to move items from a family’s old destroyed homeplace to their new homeplace.  Date:  Thursday, 10/29/26 (One day trip to work on different small projects)


Grace By Example is a completely volunteer organization (no one gets paid) that is simply trying to build transformational relationships with families who were devasted by Hurricane Helene to demonstrate the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.
