Today marks 644 days since Hurricane Helene devastated western North Carolina. As we approach the 250th anniversary of our great nation, the Grace By Example Team wants to thank everyone who has donated their time, talents, and resources to help families affected by the hurricane.
We are grateful that some homes are nearing completion. However, it is important for the public to understand that many impacted families lost not only their homes, but also everything inside them.
Below are two of the families whose homes Grace By Example has the privileged to support that are nearing completion.
As families transition from the building phase to the post build phase the needs of the families change. The types of items we are now taking donations for are listed in the needs list below.
GRACE BY EXAMPLE (POST BUILD PHASE) NEEDS LIST
In the flooding families lost not only their house but in many cases everything that was in the house. They also lost their utility buildings with all their equipment.

3. House -Kitchen Supplies/Utensils
4. Furniture For House
5. Window Treatments/Curtains
6. Bathroom Supplies
7. Heating -Air Conditioning Unit
8. TVs
9. Computers
10. Storage Building
11. Landscaping
12. Replace Lawn equipment swept away or not salvageable
